As I look at these 'before' pictures, I think that it still looks good.
Well it does in the pictures which do not show the cheap, chipped sink and lousy tile job around the sink

the sink is the old sink which is a life saver (I had to negotiate for this since they don't normally do it)
we have water but no cook top
the counter top will not be ready for 12 - 14 working days, sometime around 06/03/2011

The final design for our back splash.
Using Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 editor (like Photo Shop),
I pieced together various photos to get this idea of what we wanted.

We painted the kitchen today (07/20/2011).
We didn't think the old yellow went to well with the new "rustic" look
Now we need to check into some window coverings.
